Musical Director of
Bristol Cabot Choir

Founder of the
The Brigstowe Consort

The Brigstowe Consort

The Brigstowe Consort was born in April 2017 due to the demand from talented choral students who had received no formal musical training.

Our Mission statement:

The Brigstowe Consort is a chamber choir of high musical output, specifically for proficient singers who have not yet received professional training.

The concept is for musicianship, sight-reading and advanced aural skills to be taught through the process of a chamber choir rehearsal. Repertoire ranges from 16th century polyphony to 21st century pieces. The final performance is a public lunchtime concert at the end of each term.

The rehearsals are vocal training sessions and are an event in their own right. They are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-8.30 every three weeks. Fee £70 for a 5 rehearsal term.

Entrance is by audition and invitation only. If you would like to be a part of this choir, please contact Rebecca directly.
